At the Kiel Pain Clinic, Medical Director Prof. Dr. med. Dipl.-Psych. H. Göbel conducted a pilot study with the Panasonic EP 30002 massage chair back in October 2008. The EP-MA 70 massage chair is the successor model.

Migraine and headache patients are treated in the clinic.

Aim of the study: The therapeutic effect of using the Panasonic massage chair in the treatment of patients with muscular pain of the neck and shoulder girdle.

In the study, the patients were treated regularly – 3 times a day.

The duration of the study was 10 days.

The analysis showed a highly significant reduction in muscular tension and muscular pain through regular use of the Panasonic massage chair.

A significant reduction in pain is observed with a simultaneous reduction in muscular tension and muscular trigger points. The daily time spent in pain is reduced significantly. There is a clear clinical loosening of the affected muscles, which fully remit muscular allodynia and hyperpathy. The study shows that the systematic use of the Panasonic EP 30002 massage chair and the targeted Jenetsu technique leads to a significant and also very pleasant improvement in pain and tension in the shoulder, neck and back muscles and can make an important contribution to the treatment of these complaints.
